WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley has said he wants to be part of next year’s Royal Rumble contest. The WWE legend said he was trying to get back in shape after his recent health issue.
D-Von Dudley, on his Table Talk podcast, talked about wanting to end up in the ring again and participate in his first WWE Royal Rumble contest.
‘Listen, I’m not putting it out there, I’m not saying I’m going to be in the Royal Rumble … What I’m saying is that I would like to be in the Royal Rumble next year. If all goes well with me, I would love to have the opportunity to do so. But I have to be straight. My body needs to be good and ready to go. I’ll be honest with you, I think I’ll be fine. I will explain myself by saying that I will try to get ready for the Royal Rumble and hopefully Mr. McMahon chooses me to be in it. But if not, I can not do it. ‘
He then recounts how fans sang for him to be in the Rumble when his teammate Bubba Ray Dudley starred in the WWE Royal Rumble match in 2015. D-Von had Matt Hardy as a guest on the show, teasing a potential six has. -man team team match too.
D-Von Dudley returns to the WWE ring
D-Von Dudley recently revealed that he had a stroke, but he said on the podcast that he feels better and is working on getting back in the ring.
“I’m going to retire now. I’m willing to get back in the ring and do it again. I did not think I would, but I think I am. I think after going through what I’m been through and now back on the road to recovery, doing what I’m doing, like, I’m just trying to be strong, my coaches are trying to bring myself back to where I need to be, and losing all sorts of weight – I think I’m going to be ready . ‘
D-Von Dudley’s last game in WWE came back in 2016 when he faced Bubba Ray Dudley alongside Neville and Sami Zayn.
