WRs Eskridge and Smith excel – The Athletic

MOBILE, Ala. The yards at Hancock Whitney Stadium on the South Alabama campus were full of NFL scouts and staff on Tuesday when the week of Senior Bowl practice began.

Generally, players in different positions, such as quarterbacks, start slowly on the first day as they develop their timing in the new environment. But the prospects for skills positions started well on Tuesday, specifically the wide receivers.

I wrote about Dwayne Eskridge in West Michigan in my preview of the Senior Bowl as a player who could become a “riser” like Senior Terry McLaurin two years ago this year, and he did not disappoint in the first practice.
