Wrestling world is very excited for the new WWE Hall of Famer Molly Holly

Along with Christian (and I’m sure somewhere Vince McMahon says “you sure blew your chance, buddy”), Molly Holly was at the top of many people who should have been in the WWE Hall of Fame lists.

Earlier today (March 10), the former women’s champion received the Hall call. We saw how moved Shane “Hurricane” Helms was to tell his old friend in superhero The bump:

And if the waterworks are not going on, The bump also showed this old track from NXT’s Tegan Nox for the first time her inspiration:

Nox was among the many who jumped on social media to take out Molly (to save us from a series of quote tweets from the videos above, I watched a few of these. The original tweet is linked in those cases) :

Why does she get such a virtual “you deserve it” song? She is undoubtedly a wonderful person, but she is also committed to her craft. Take this story of how she was on the WrestleMania XX at a time when there was no guarantee that ‘Mania’ would have any women’s matches:

‘I was a champion, and the writers told me there was only room for one women’s match at WrestleMania. They would wage a pillow fight or a mud fight. I was really crushed and thought I should come up with something that would make them change their minds. Then I pulled up a bare cap and had my picture taken. I made a booklet with a bunch of different storylines showing how to shave my head. I presented it to Stephanie McMahon and some writers and said, ‘I’m willing to shave my head, can I please be on WrestleMania?’ Of course, they came back to me a few days later and said, “Okay, we’ll let you shave your head at WrestleMania.” ‘

Congratulations Molly. You really deserve it!
