Would Matt Canada pick the Dolphins over the Steelers?

With the news Thursday that the Pittsburgh Steelers are not renewing the contract of offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner, attention is now being paid to who his replacement will be. We’ve outlined a few possible substitutes, and Matt Canada is the current eighth-man coach of Pittsburgh.

There is also news that Canada is on the radar of the Miami Dolphins to be their next offensive coordinator.

That means Canada could make a decision between the Steelers and Dolphins for its big promotion. If we connect the dots and look at it from this perspective, what would Canada choose the Steelers over the Dolphins?

I suppose it would be tradition and loyalty in the first place. The Steelers overtook Canada last season to be the team’s quarterback coach, hoping to inject his creative offensive philosophies into the University of Maryland offense.

But beyond that, I do not see where the Steelers work is more enticing. Unless Canada is looking forward to the challenge of a minimum two-year rebuild with more questions than answers on quarter. The Dolphins have had a big turnaround this season and have their young quarterback in place and are well rebuilt in them.

But I want to pass the question on to you. If Canada chooses the two positions, which one do you think he will take? Let us know in the comments.
