Work begins on Berm for the potential 3rd theme park in Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris has started building a large curb around the area of the expected new theme park that they had to build by 2036. The barrier will be up to 5 m high and 800 m, or almost half a kilometer long.

The purpose of this construction is to act as a visual and sound boundary. The construction of the new theme park will sit just behind Disney’s Sequoia Lodge.

The project is expected to take place in three phases. The first phase would include preparatory work, such as excavation and construction of a maintenance track. Thereafter, land will be allocated for the area through the summer, and then planting will begin around October 2021 and last until March 2022.

The French government granted an extension of time for the project last year, making it possible to build the park by 2036 if it reaches the number of visitors agreed annually by the two parties.
