Women in Florida dress up as ‘grandmothers’ to get COVID vaccine

This “gran” scheme did not go very far …

Two women in Florida have dressed as ‘grandmothers’ in an attempt to be vaccinated against COVID-19, health officials said Thursday.

Their crazy actions included ‘the hood, the gloves, the glasses – the whole thing’, said dr. Raul Pino, director of the Florida Department of Health in Orange County, said.

According to WKMG-TV, employees at the vaccination site at Orange County Convention Center noticed that the women looked ‘funny’ and stopped them before they could shoot.

There was also a problem with the IDs and driver’s licenses they provided, Pino noted.

The duo were on their way to their second dose of vaccination.

Pino said he did not know how they could get their first shot, and it was unclear if they were using the same slander.

“I do not know how they escaped for the first time,” he said.

The incident was reported to local authorities, who issued outrageous warnings to the women.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, one of the women was 44 years old and the other was 34 years old, reports the local outlet WWL-TV.

In Florida, only adults 65 years of age and older, health care workers and assistants, and staff are eligible for the vaccine.

Pino said the number of people who want to falsify their identities to get the chance is probably “higher than we expect.”

As a result, safety at the vaccination field has been increased, he said.
