We are all familiar with scams and how to make sure the package we order comes from an authentic source. Well, a woman in China was left disappointed after ordering a brand new iPhone 12 Pro Max. What surprised her was the fact that she got a yogurt drink with apple flavor in the box instead of the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The occasion was not only unfortunate but also hurtful because she paid a hefty amount for the device. Let’s dive in to see more details on the topic.
A woman in China receives an apple-flavored yogurt drink in the mail after ordering an iPhone 12 Pro Max
A woman in China last week uploaded a video on Weibo in which she explained that she was more than $ 1,500 to buy the new iPhone. Furthermore, it is surprising that she placed the order on Apple’s official website and not through a third party seller. She was shocked when she discovered that her iPhone 12 Pro Max had been replaced with a yogurt drink with apple flavor.
Liu explains that the package was not delivered directly to her door. She opted for the delivery to get in the suitcase where she lived. Apple and Express Mail Service, the official courier, claim that the iPhone 12 Pro Max was delivered to the said location. However, Liu exclaims that she never received the iPhone and that an apple-flavored yogurt drink was delivered. While no one knows when the theft took place, the case has been lodged with the local police.
Other than that, Global Times also reported that the Express Mail Service also hired dedicated people to investigate the matter. The investigation is still ongoing and Apple has also shared a similar response to Global Times’ query. The company also says that the iPhone 12 Pro Max case will be resolved soon.
