Woman in wheelchair rescued during a fire in Perkiomen, Pennsylvania

PERKIOMEN TWP., Pennsylvania (WPVI) – A woman in a wheelchair was rushed to hospital Saturday after she was trapped when a house went up in flames in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

The call comes in around 14:30 for a fire in the 500th street of King Road in the municipality of Perkiomen.

According to authorities, two people left the house, but a woman in a wheelchair had to be rescued from the second floor.

The woman was rushed to hospital. There is no immediate word on her condition.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated, but crew members believe the fire may have started near the garage area.
