Police in England have arrested a woman in connection with a video of an alleged “empty” hospital in Gloucestershire posted on social media.
Gloucestershire Constabulary police officers arrested the woman on Tuesday, allegedly a public order violation.
According to local news agency Gloucestershire Live, the 46-year-old woman was given bail until January on condition that she does not enter any NHS facility except for an emergency for health or an appointment.
In the video posted on social media, the woman is heard saying, “Where is the second wave? Where are all the people dying from the second wave?” As she wanders through the largely deserted corridors of the hospital.
‘We just got locked up in Tier 3 in Gloucestershire, for this? Look at it for an empty hospital, it’s a shame, ‘the nameless woman continues.
“To be honest, I did not expect it to be so quiet,” the woman said, adding, “I expected there to be a few more people.”
“It’s a shame. It’s so dead. “All the people in our country who are desperately waiting for treatment, cancer treatment, heart disease, it honestly makes me so angry,” she concluded.
It is said to have been shared about 80,000 times on Facebook before being removed, although sympathizers have uploaded it fragments from the video to other platforms, such as Twitter.
