The falcon and the winter soldier is almost certainly going to set up ties with X-Men characters, but it’s also going to bring in a lot of Captain America dramas in the wake of Steve Rogers. A new trailer for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier dropped during the Super Bowl, and the Sam-Bucky supremacy was written over it from the jump – as if it literally started with Sam jumping and Bucky being irritated … bring the couple’s advice. During the all-too-brief look at what’s coming in the next Disney + series from Marvel Studios, there are plenty of Easter eggs, characters and comic tapes to take a closer look at.

The entire initial series of the trailer is a reference to Cap jumping out of a plane without a parachute, which we saw with him. Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and I can not help but like Bucky’s question “What is our plan?” is a reference to Iron Man that says, ‘I have a plan. Attack. ”Before jumping out of a Quinjet The Avengers. Once again, Avengers do like the plays.
The skyline we see is Madripoor, a place Disney could not use until they bought Fox and got all the X-Men movie rights back. Madripoor is essentially a super-corrupt city that literally exists on its own island in Southeast Asia. It protects his criminals from extradition and has strong ties to mutant characters, most notably Wolverine, who – in comics – fought in Madripoor during World War II – interestingly enough, he collaborated with Cap there. Will any of this matter here? Can be. WandaVision seems to have a lot of X-Men nods, but it could all be desirable because we’re all eager to see Kevin Feige do his version of stories with mutants.
The villain is Baron Zemo, he gets his purple mask full this time. I first saw him put on the mask when the show was officially announced at the San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, but I think it has not yet come online – at least not legally. He’s back to try to get rid of the world of superheroes after he failed to do so Civil War and he might end up in a Thunderbolts squad, because he’s clearly leaning towards the all-too-current tactics of dividing people and with X-Men on the horizon, the Avengers are all scattered, and whatever’s going on he can try to drum up a small group of his own. If it’s our Red Hulk in the MCU, I’m in for it.
It is speculated that his purple mask in the MCU may be inspired by Thanos, which is probably nothing more than a fun idea.
Zemo’s little trolls are Flag-Smashers, they seem to be a nod to the Flag-Smasher character from Marvel Comics, also known as Mark Gruenwald. If they follow his comic lead, the MCU Flag Smashers will be essentially radical Captain America haters who want to create and incite chaos.
There’s an interesting recording of a high rank blues military uniform, it could be Don Cheadle’s war machine. Cheadle did mess up that he is in a recent interview in this show and his Rhodie is nicely decorated.
It may be coincidental, but a massive Steve Rogers poster is on the left of Sam referring to, well … you know. Sam seems to be grieving over the shield given to him as if he should give it up, which probably means they’re Steve’s choice to live in the alternate timeline and not just say, ‘Well, he got old and gave it to me. The MCU thinks Steve Rogers is dead, and he will possibly start after the opening series Spider-Man: Far from home put him in the same commemorative video as Black Widow and Iron Man.
Sam throws the shield. Bucky catches it. In comics, both were Captain America, so there will probably be something to play with. A moment later, the stiff shot of Falcon’s face as he flew seemed to be the new equivalent of that Tony Stark who shot inside his helmet when he was about to speak while flying.
Sharon Carter, last seen in Captain America: Civil War, is finally back and she’s a bad ass and she’s not only going to save Bucky and Sam, but I also think she’s going to be a source of information. We saw on a t-shirt that she ‘WANTED’ because she broke the Sokovia agreements, and therefore she probably spends some time in Madripoor, she might go there if she is not cut and teach them the know average streets. Whatever Bucky and Sam are looking for, she probably has some answers.
US Agent jogs on a soccer field during a kind of big rally. This guy is almost going to be a government prop as a new Captain America symbol, but his real name is John Walker and he was a hero but he was also a villain and I can see that both Sam is the shield of him and Baron Zemo wants. to want to use him to incite a kind of division.
At some point, Sam gets the shield because this shot of his is just amazing and I can not wait for his whole suit to be Falcon-Captain America-up. I don ‘t think he’s throwing the shield at this explosion, I think Baron Zemo is sitting behind it because he’s just hanging out too cool at the bottom of the frame to be a surprise to him.
A woman in the Flag Smashers, probably some high-ranking member and a returning character, gets the best of Bucky, which can mean she’s a better individual, and Bucky falls off the side of a truck and you just can not help but be reminded of Bucky falling off a train and falling off a mountain Captain America: The First Avenger. Given how manipulated his brain is, you have to wonder if it causes PTSD.
The trailer ends with a cute couple’s counseling moment where they stare at each other intently, like how I stared at this trailer.
