Wolf expires COVID lock-in measures on Monday | Pennsylvania News

HARRISBURG, Pa. Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf allows the additional restrictions imposed nearly three weeks ago to expire Monday morning as expected.

He announced the end of the temporary measures during a news conference in the early afternoon.

On December 12, Wolf temporarily suspended school sports and other extracurricular activities, closed gyms, theaters and casinos, and banned indoor dining at restaurants in response to the worsening pandemic.

All of these restrictions will expire on Monday, Jan. 4, at 8 p.m., Wolf said. It also includes the limit of ten people for indoor events and 25 people for outdoor events.

“That does not mean we are out of the woods,” he told the news conference, stressing that all previous pandemic orders were still in place.
