Wolf Alice singer Ellie Rowsell told a story of her own experience meeting Marilyn Manson while tweeting her solidarity with shocked ex-girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood. ‘I met Marilyn behind the scenes at a party a few years ago. “After his compliments towards my group became more and more hyperbolic, I became suspicious of his behavior,” she said. If he does these kinds of things all the time, why on earth has he been the head of festivals for so many years? When will we stop admitting misogynists based on their success? Women need to feel safe in the world dominated by men through the music industry. ”
Evan Rachel Wood’s allegations of care and abuse by Manson earlier this month were followed by additional allegations of diverse misconduct by several women. Manson was subsequently fired by his record company, tour agency and longtime manager.
On February 1, Jenna Jameson attended the Daily mail that the singer “fantasized about burning [her] alive ”when they went out in 1997. Ex-wife Dita Von Teese, who was divorced from Manson after a one-year marriage in 2006 “due to infidelity and drug abuse”, said on February 4 that “the details revealed do not match my personal experience during our 7 years together as a couple. The same day, Phoebe Bridgers, too said the singer once referred to a room in his house as the ‘r * pe room’, before writing: ‘The label knew, the management knew, the band knew. To distance themselves now, pretending to be shocked and terrified, is fucking pathetic. ”
