Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gets a silent version on the switch, but with a major difference

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt© CD Projekt Red

It was quite a surprise when CD Project Red first announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition came to Switch in 2019. Both extensions included, Hearts of stone and Blood and wine, we were surprised that it all fits on one playing card. However, if you just wanted to search for the base game, the option was not available before. Until now.

You can buy now, apparently no fanfare Witcher 3: Wild Hunt only for £ 29.99 from the Switch eShop. Players who already own the full version can use it for free, a move we suspect is intended to prevent people from accidentally buying it twice.

If you later decide that you want the individual DLCs, they are also available separately. Hearts of Stone costs you £ 8.99, while Blood and Wine costs £ 17.99. Altogether it is more expensive than the full version at £ 56.97, but with this method you can at least spread the cost.

Did you play The Witcher 3 on Switch? Would you be tempted by the lower price to dive in? Share your thoughts in the comments.
