Wisconsin DHS launches COVID-19 vaccine supplier card

The Department of Health Services of Wisconsin (DHS) unveiled on February 26 a new resource aimed at helping people make contact with vaccine providers – a map of Wisconsin COVID-19.

Officials say the map is designed to improve transparency in the vaccine distribution process by determining where the vaccine is sent by the state. It is also intended to help Wisconsinites find and contact vaccine providers in their area more easily.

The map shows COVID-19 vaccine providers and community vaccination clinics actively vaccinating in Wisconsin. Vaccination sites are coded according to shape and color to indicate whether they are open to all eligible populations, open only to specific eligible groups, or to their own clients or patients. Users can select a site on the map to find contact information and populations served by each location, or see the table below. Currently, DHS plans to update the map every two weeks with data reported by vaccine providers. It is therefore possible, depending on timing, that vaccine providers have already administered or scheduled their remaining doses.

A news release says that all sites shown on the map require prior appointments, and that availability is not guaranteed. Wisconsinites can visit the DHS COVID-19 vaccination page for more information on options.
