A winter weather advice from the triangle in the north and west takes effect Saturday night until Sunday morning.
On Saturday clouds will start to move in and there may be snowfalls that may come later in the night in areas north of the triangle, but nothing like the snow that fell a few days ago.
A winter weather advice from the triangle in the north and west takes effect tonight until tomorrow. The biggest threat is ice rain. Can see up to 0.20 “ice ridge north and west of I-85. Try not to avoid possible travel in these areas tomorrow morning. pic.twitter.com/BjD1mSRHi1

Sunday, however, is a different story. A light winter mix is possible early in the morning from the Triangle in the north from around 07:00 to 09:00, bringing rain, sleet or snow. It should then change to rain. ABC11 meteorologist Steve Stewart says there could be up to 0.20 “ice run north and west of I-85, and that should be avoided in these areas tomorrow morning.
Although the effect on the triangle should be minimal, freezing rain can cause some slippery spots on the roads as the temperature hangs around the freezing point.
