According to the National Weather Service, many areas could accumulate more than a foot of snow, with locally higher totals possibly on the benches.
The snowfall is expected to overnight and intensify through the morning in the Salt Lake and Tooele valleys, where there is a warning for the winter storm. The snow should slow down Wednesday afternoon and evening. The “more effect” is expected to make the snowfall in the Salt Lake Valley heavier, by up to one centimeter per hour.
