William allegedly cuts ties with reporter friend over Harry split

Prince William fell out with a longtime reporter after joining Prince Harry amid the brothers’ well-known rift, royal sources claimed.

The heir to the throne allegedly cut off Brit Tom Bradby, who hosts ITV’s “News At Ten”, because he became increasingly close to Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

Bradby spoke to the Sussexes during their Southern Africa tour in 2019, where Harry first admitted that he fell out with his brother – and Markle revealed how unhappy she was in her royal life.

“William can not trust Tom,” a source told Page Six. ‘Tom tried to be friends with both Harry and William, but in my opinion it does not seem like Tom is an honest realtor.

“The brothers do not need someone in the middle – without knowing if they can trust them – if they can talk to each other directly.”

Both William and Harry became friendly with Bradby when he worked as ITV’s royal correspondent.

Bradby even got his first interview with William and Kate Middleton after their engagement in November 2010.

His wife Claudia worked with Kate – now the Duchess of Cambridge – at the British fashion brand Jigsaw.

Before her engagement, Kate worked briefly as an assistant buyer.

However, a source from a palace told the Daily Mail on Wednesday: ‘William is a sensitive soul and believes it is in times of crisis when you find out who your true friends are.

“It would be fair to say that Bradby was not one of them.”

According to the source, certain Palace staff are “even angrier” about Bradby’s alleged “pro-Harry and Meghan” reports about their dramatic exit from the royal family.

It is also believed that Bradby worked to gain British rights to the Oprah Winfrey interview – although the rival broadcaster, the BBC, refused to air the interview.

“It’s known that Bradby communicates with Harry regularly, and it’s very clear to royal assistants who know how things work,” the source said.

Bradby’s representatives did not respond to calls for comment. ITCV declined a request, and a representative for the Sussexes was not available for comment.
