One of the bigger games to appear on the Nintendo Switch next month Apex Legends by EA and Respawn Entertainment.
This team-based Battle Royale shooter does not make the corner – it brings the “full-featured” experience to Nintendo’s hybrid system. According to Respawn, the port specialist Panic Button (Rocket League, DOOM Eternal) worked his magic on this and achieved some “smart” optimizations.

The official Switch eShop page reveals that you will need to clear space – with the game as a ‘requirement’15.2 GBAt the same time, the description further mentions that the game ‘at least’ requires a 30 GB download.

The Nintendo website in the US also states that the file size is 30 GB, but on the UK page it is 15.2 GB. Confusing, right?
So … this is one or the other. Either way, this is a pretty substantial download for the Switch. If you need more space. Respawn partnered with Western Digital to create an Apex Legends Switch-themed MicroSD card that costs $ 67.99. It’s 128 GB in size, and differs from the standard MicroSD, except for the logo.
If the game does land on the Nintendo Switch, it will support platform-independent gaming and things start with season 8.
