When Apple first dropped the inbox charger with the iPhone 12, Android OEMs like Samsung and Xiaomi mocked the company for it. We all know what happened after that. Both Samsung and Xiaomi took the charger out of the packaging of their respective flagships. Although the latter still made the accessory optional, the South Korean brand seems to trade everything in for the charging-free approach for its phones. This begs the question: what will OnePlus do? Will it pair a charger with the OnePlus 9 series phones? Fortunately, we have an answer.
Pete Lau, CEO, responded to an official forum post that teased the OnePlus 9 series and confirmed that the new phones will indeed come with a charger inside the box.
OnePlus usually bundles a Warp Charger with its flagship phones. The OnePlus 8T is equipped with a 65W charging adapter, and the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are expected to get the same as well.
As OnePlus flagships become more expensive each year, it can be a relief for many people to know that they do not have to sink extra for a fast charger this time around.
