Wild Hunt Reimagined as a PS1 Game

Game developer Anders Lundbjörk shared a great video that introduces him to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt might have seemed like it was released in the 1990s rather than the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC for the original PlayStation in 2015. More specifically, Lundbjörk lifted the infamous bath scene for its imaginary PlayStation release with a few changes. . While the PS1 version of Geralt or Rivia seems to like Gwent just as much as its PS4 counterpart, some of its dialogue seems more in line with the 90s.

If it looks familiar, it may be because this is not the first time the game developer has taken a CD Project Red title and thought about what it might look like on the original PlayStation. His version of Cyberpunk 2077 late last year the PS1 gained a lot of traction, and with good reason. While Lundbjörk’s creations are not exact, one-on-one replicas of the actual video games, they absolutely carry on the spirit – and in some cases wild errors – that occur in the actual.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt itself is currently actually available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S-versions are expected to be released this year. You can check out all of our previous coverage of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt not here.
