Why you will not see 2021 Super Bowl ads from Budweiser, Coke and Pepsi

American companies are taking unprecedented actions in this unprecedented time.

As the coronavirus pandemic is more, numerous companies have decided to air ads during the 2021 Super Bowl.

On Monday 25 January, Anheuser-Busch, who owns Budweiser, revealed that they will be breaking tradition during the match on 7 February. Instead, the company will donate any costs associated with making an ad to the Ad Council, an organization that makes public announcements.

This year, Ad Council is focusing on encouraging people to renounce social and consider receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to Variety, this is the first time in 37 years that Budweiser will not deliver an ad on Super Bowl Sunday.

While Budweiser’s Clydesdale horses are left behind in their stalls, Anheuser-Busch’s other brands, Michelob Ultra, Bud Light, Stella Artois and Cutwater Spirits, will be advertised.
