WandaVision was full of surprises, including the revelation that Lashana Lynch’s Maria Rambeau dies of cancer in the period of five years between the Snap at the end of Avengers: Infinity War and the Blip in Avengers: Endgame.
Jac Schaeffer, series exhibitor, discussed the decision to kill Maria Entertainment tonightand said it was a big decision. We had a lot of conversations and Maria and Lashana, the actor, were so important in Captain Marvel and such a tremendous character. We did not take the decision lightly. “At the end of the day, however, Schaeffer and her team believed Mary was being killed” really worked for Monica. [Rambeau]character and what it meant to her. We also really liked the idea that Maria SWORD built up from the ground up. ‘

Maria Rambeau made her Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut in Captain Marvel. A pilot and best friend of Carol Danvers, she helped Danvers remember her old life after the superhero returned six years after her apparent death in a plane crash. Her daughter, Monica Rambeau, also first appeared in the film as a child, played by Akira Akbar. Teyonah Parris plays an older Monica in WandaVision and will repeat the role in the upcoming version Captain Marvel 2.
WandaVision is the first of many Marvel TV projects to be released on Disney +. Next is The falcon and winter Soldier, which was supposed to start the essay in August, but was delayed until March due to the coronavirus pandemic. Other series in the works include Loki, Hawkeye, Mrs. Marvel, She-Hulk, Moon Knight and a series based on Black Panthersay Wakanda. At the latest Disney Investor Day presentation, the House of Mouse also announced projects based on Secret Invasion, Iron Heart and Armored Wars is being developed, as well as a collection of shorts following Baby Big titled I’m Great. Finally, the animated What if …? will premiere in the summer of 2021.
