According to the Weeknd, the bonds play in the Na-ure character’s narrative in that “It’s all a progression and we watch the story of The Character reach elevated levels of danger and absurdity as his story unfolds.”

When asked why he makes himself “increasingly unattractive” throughout the country Na-ure replied the Weeknd: “I assume that attractive is not important to me, but a compelling story.”
“Why don’t you play with the character and the artist and let those lines blur and move around?” he asked before the interviewer asked the Weeknd if he was ‘character’ at the time. His answer was um, confusing: “I do not know, I will have to ask him.”

Either way, about the Super Bowl performance: it sounds like he’s probably not doing the verbal look for the big show, but during a press conference he teased that ‘the story will continue’ in a more ‘PG’ ‘form.
In an interview with the NFL Network, the Weeknd also said that there will be no special guests for the big show – but considering how fast and loose he played with the truth? We’ll see about that.
