Why Legendary Edition Won’t Have Pinnacle Station DLC

Mass Effect Legendary Edition will feature almost all of the trilogy’s DLC packages – with one notable and unfortunate exception. Here’s why.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a dream release for fans of the sci-fi series, even if it has some weird graphic changes that surprised fans. This is a remaster of the original Mass effect trilogy with quality of life changes to give fans the definitive experience, along with a legendary collection of collectibles released. The remaster will also include almost every DLC from the three games – with one notable exception.

Mass Effect: Pinnacle Station was an extension of the original Mass effect. There was also Commander Shepard who traveled to Pinnacle Station and reached the status of Specter, where they participate in unique training experiences and survival missions. In addition to practicing battles with a group, the DLC provided incentives to complete the survival missions.

Completing all the survival missions can replay the previous missions with an extended timer. Once the player has beaten the secret missions, he will be rewarded with a new apartment and rarely given objects to them. Those who still have the Xbox 360 or PC version of Mass effect can still download the extension to this day. However, BioWare has confirmed this Pinnacle Station will not be included Legendary issue, with the same fate as Mass effect 3se multiplayer.

Why the DLC is excluded, it is first important to mention it Pinnacle Station was not developed internally by BioWare. Pinnacle Station was created by a third party, Demiurge Studios, with the permission of BioWare. Demiurge was involved in projects such as Borderlands, BioShock and Medal of Honor: in the air. The studio has since been acquired by Sega and has recently been involved in several mobile projects.

Demiurge Studios reportedly has the original source code for Pinnacle Station. In an interview with Game Informer, Mass Effect Legendary Edition the game director Mac Walters said they went through the ordeal to Pinnacle Stationsee source code. Demiurge Studios was able to find a backup, but unfortunately it was corrupt and no longer usable.

Although it would be technically possible to recreate Pinnacle Station for Legendary issue, Walters explained that it would have taken a lot of time and effort to recreate the DLC from scratch. That would have forced BioWare to delay the game after its May 14 release date. In addition, there are many other changes and updates that fans would like to see Legendary Edition focus on instead.

Pinnacle Station was not the best DLC package for Mass effect, with critics calling the package uninspired compared to the more story-oriented Bring Down the Sky. But, Pinnacle Station had its fans because many players enjoyed the survival missions and extra VR battle scenarios. Pinnacle Station more focused on offering players more ways to experience Mass effect‘s battle.

There’s a chance fans will recover Pinnacle Station on Mass Effect Legendary Edition by mods. Pinnacle Station still exists on both the Xbox 360 and PC versions of Mass effect; it’s even free for PC users on Origin, which means capable modders in the Mass effect community may be able to convert Pinnacle Station in the trilogy remaster. In spite of Pinnacle StationMany of the fans enjoyed a powerful reception during the launch, and it would be a shame to see it lost.
