Who’s The Phoenix? The Masked Singer season 5, episode 2 episode

The Masked Singer judges are not known for it guesses. Of course, Ken Jeong deliberately advises (?) Celebrities who would never compete in this Fox reality singing competition, even if they kept the mask on after being eliminated, but Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke are not much better — yet they are somehow questioned season after season. It’s almost as if the producers want them to guess that Obama and Cher would do the show.

But this week – the second episode of season five—Not just one, but two judges successfully nominated the singer under the mask of the eliminated contestant …

[Spoiler ahead.]

During the initial guessing round following the horrific performance of Phoenix from Kesha’s “TiK ToK”, the entire panel was given clues indicating that the singer was a member of the LGBTQ + community. At the time, the judges secretly wrote down their ‘guessing first impressions’ before discussing other options in public. RuPaul, Jane Lynch and Caitlyn Jenner were among the discussions.

Later in the episode, when viewers kept going to the Phoenix and kept Black Swan (maybe Demi Lovato or the pop sensation JoJo), Piglet (definitely Nick Lachey), Grandpa Monster (poooossibly John Travolta but probably someone younger), and Chameleon (I honestly have no idea). Just before the Phoenix was unmasked, host Niecy Nash –steps in for COVID-positive Nick Cannon– reveals the judges’ underrated guesses:

Jenny McCarthy: Caitlyn Jenner
Nicole Scherzinger: Perez Hilton
Robin Thicke: Laverne Cox
Ken Jeong: Caitlyn Jenner

Jeong eventually changed his guess to RuPaul and Scherzinger decided it was actually Jonathan Van Ness. Well, Jeong should have stuck to his guns. “You know, I like challenges,” Caitlyn Jenner told Nash after taking off the giant Pheonix head. “I was chasing cars. I fly planes …. You can only work on the golf game for that long. ”

When he encouraged Jenner, McCarthy wanted to know what the Olympian thinks her many children will say when they hear she was on the program. “They always knew dad was a little crazy, they would try anything,” Jenner said. “Life is short. You have to enjoy it. “As far as anyone is concerned, Jenner is first sent home: ‘I’ll be on the golf course tomorrow. Do not feel sorry for me. ‘

After watching the performance of ‘Tik ToK’, the only people who are sorry for viewers.
