Whoopi Goldberg writes superhero film about an older black woman: ‘They are really going to save the earth’

Whoopi Goldberg pulls up her own chair to the realm of superhero movies.

The 65-year-old actress and often outspoken co-presenter of “The View” revealed to Variety that she is actively drawing a screenplay for an original superhero film, aimed at an older black woman who acquires superhuman powers, but herself must learn how to control and use it.

“Since my little child, I have been obsessed with superheroes,” Goldberg told the publication. “They all save the earth all the time. But do you know who is really going to save the earth? Old black women. ‘

Goldberg is already one of the busiest in showbiz.
