Who projected Daniel Jeremiah to Dolphins in the latest sketch design of 2021?

When Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network talks about something related to the NFL concept, you would be wise to listen. And yesterday, Jeremiah spoke about the entire 1st round of the year’s event – he broke out his latest 2021 spot scenario to explore what the Miami Dolphins and the rest of the league could do at the end of the month. Jeremiah’s mockery had four backs in the first four picks; a development that certainly helped the Dolphins’ case secure a passer-by of the best flight in this scenario.

But with options comes the opportunity to make the right (or wrong) decision. What move did Jeremiah make for the Dolphins? Here are both of his picks for Miami in the first round of his latest 2021 spot:

6 overall – WR Ja’Marr Chase, LSU Tigers

“Miami moved back after trading to No. 12, and wisely reckoned they could land Pitts of Chase with the sixth pick.” – Daniel Jeremiah, NFL.com

18 overall – DE Gregory Rousseau, Hurricanes in Miami

Rousseau had a bit of stiffness in his pro workout, as far as some teams are concerned. That said, look at its combination of size, length and production. On top of that, its impressive ten-meter (1.57-second) split time will carry a lot of weight in evaluations. ”- Daniel Jeremiah, NFL.com

With Florida TE Kyle Pitts coming off the board at number 5 ahead of the Dolphins, the decision comes down to Chase or presumably Penei Sewell with the Dolphins’ first choice. But given Miami’s offensive line investments in 2020 and the depth of this year’s offensive line class, Jeremiah felt inspired to host the Dolphins Chase. The LSU product is the same player that is also projected on the overall number 3 to the Dolphins.

Rousseau is a bit of a surprise; As Jeremiah mentioned, Rousseau’s Pro Day numbers were a bit overwhelming after they did not play in 2020. But there is little doubt that this long-arm-fit rusher would fit in the shape of a Dolphins-fit rusher and fit right along the line.
