Where you can (at least try) to make an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine in the Princeton region and beyond if you are eligible –

COVID-19 vaccines are currently available to paid and unpaid health workers, residents and staff of long-term and community care facilities, first responders, including sworn law enforcement and firefighters, people over 65 and people aged 16 to 64 with certain medical conditions as defined by the CDC which increases the risk of serious diseases due to the virus.

If you are able to get a vaccine, you must pre-register for the vaccine on the NJ Vaccine Scheduling System website. According to government officials, you will be notified when an appointment is available to you. Some Planet Princeton readers have reported that they have been notified that they are eligible. They were able to sign up for an appointment through the NJ Department of Health, but they reported that there were no options near the Princeton area. They were also referred to a list of places they could call to make their own appointments. But many of these sites do not currently accept appointments because they are currently booked or do not have the vaccine in stock.

Some readers have been successful with the appointments on the state’s mega-website in Edison, Middlesex County. Readers said they were successful in making an appointment after checking on several sites several times.

Below are places in our region where you can make a vaccination directly. Click on the link for a specific website for more information and to register. We note that most places are outside the vaccine, and that many do not accept appointments from Monday until they get more of the vaccine.

Vaccination clinics currently do not accept boarding. Some eligible readers who have not been lucky enough to get an appointment in the region have successfully made appointments at vaccinations in other provinces. The complete list of vaccination sites across the state is available online.

We also created a Google document to gather the latest information on vaccine capability across the country. We’ll add more locations to the document. Places in our region are currently listed. If you updated a location information, add a comment to the Google Docs. Thank you.
