For a while, the biggest movie story of 2020 was which movies was not coming out as the pandemic closes theaters and the release dates for some of the biggest prospective charts of the year (see you later, Black widow and No time to die, hopefully) and the most beautiful awards bait (or is there another reason why Spielberg directed a remake) west side story?). But not anymore, because it turns out that a lot of good movies were released last year – and many of them have just been nominated for Oscars.

Yes, Hollywood’s annual mutual admiration celebration is still taking place, though things are a little different this year. The awards will only be handed out on April 25 the last point in the year for an Oscar ceremony since 1932. Some films only released in 2021 may still be eligible for the Academy moved the suitability window and removed restrictions required for theater release.

But the biggest difference between this Oscar year and any other is that you can do it easily (if not necessarily) cheap) see most nominees now without leaving your home. Wait no longer for the release of the art house to perhaps come to the bigger city near you, or for the next masterpiece of your favorite director to drip to HBO – thanks to COVID, almost everything available for an award this year is currently streaming out somewhere. Heck, this year’s most award winning film, Mank (10 nominations) even premiere on Netflix.

Here’s where to stream the nominees for the top categories in the 2021 Academy Awards.
