The retailer in Valheim is a useful retailer that will sell you unique items and even buy your valuables.
The world of Valheim is full of mysterious things, but one constant you can rely on is the dealer. This dwarf trader, known as Haldor, offers various goods to buy and will also be more than happy to buy the valuable items you probably collected during your spell.
Where to find the dealer
Trader Haldor seems to be spawning in the Black Forest in Valheim. Whether he spawned in just one place is currently unknown, but I can say that he originated on my starter island. To find the dealer, you need to start researching the places in the Black Forest. When you get close to him, a small pocket icon will appear on your map. The radius for this is actually quite large – I was sailing around the perimeter of my island when the icon popped deep into the forest.

If you do find the retailer Haldor, you can buy a variety of items with gold coins from him. These are the coins you can collect from enemies, dungeons (like the ones where you get iron) and other resources. He will also buy amber and rubies from you and any other valuable items.
Create a portal near Haldor so you can reach it quickly from your home base. Portals must be manufactured Surtling cores.
Haldor the merchant stock

Haldor has some goods you can buy from him for gold coins. These prices are pretty steep, so it might be a good idea to collect gold coins and sell valuable items.
