What’s in Apex Legends Season 8 Battle Pass? All levels, rewards, free items

Apex Legends Season 8: Mayhem update falls on February 2, and there are many changes in the patch. Check out the full notes of Respawn.

The most important changes are of course the addition of the new Legend, Fuse, which comes from Salvo, as well as the new weapon – the 30-30 repeater.

Kings Canyon is also being changed on a large scale, as Fuse’s access to the Apex games did not go smoothly and his old friend Maggie crashed the party – literally.

But the most exciting part of the patch notes themselves is how Respawn adapted the various legends with nerfs and buffs, plus some changes to the quality of life. Check out Respawn’s notes below.

Apex Legends Season 8 Mayhem Patch notes

NEW LEGEND: SECURITY

Meet Fuse: a mercenary who is turned upside down with a cage, who never rejects a good deal of dust. His affinity for explosions allows him to carry extra grenades and throw them faster and farther. He can detonate a cluster bomb with air explosives. And when it’s time to get the tree really coming, Fuse uses ‘Wally’ to launch a bombardment that surrounds an area in a flame ring.

Passive – Grenadier

Stack an extra grenade per stock slot. Fire grenades further, faster and more accurately.

Tactics – Knuckle Group

Launch a cluster bomb that constantly blows airborne explosives after impact.

Ultimate – The Motherlode

Launch a bombardment that surrounds a target area in a wall of flames.

NEW WEAPONS: 30-30 REPEATER

This heavy ammunition-lever action repeater boasts hard hits that will nail a fleeing Mirage at 200 yards.

The 30-30 is the benchmark for reliability, designed to withstand stormy sandstorms and temporary instability, making it an obvious choice for the Apex Games.

DISCIPLED WOODEN WINGS

The 30-30 Repeater requires the user to reload his lap between shots, bringing a methodical rhythm to the gun, an analog elegance that the Foreign Weapons simply cannot capture.

To further tempt the itchy trigger fingers, the 30-30 Repeater has a built-in charge that allows players to deal increased damage with each shot at the expense of a short build-up.

The 30-30 reloads one round at a time, providing a lot of interesting resource management that you won’t find anywhere else, not even on the Mastiff.

The engagement range of the 30-30 offers unique opportunities to recharge individual rounds between shots. This gives the Repeater the ability to apply constant pressure to precise ranges, which can sometimes reload weapons.

KINGS CANYON MAP UPDATE

In season 8, Kings Canyon is changed again. The main new interest shows the destruction of the ship crashing on the map. Players can now explore beyond Artillery, Spotted Lakes take over the slums and some new observation towers for basic reconstruction or a sniper rifle.

Read more on the map changes here.

LEGENDARY MAGAZINE

Season 8 launches the Gold Tiger magazines. When you attach it to a weapon, your accumulated weapons automatically reload after a short delay. Gold magazine has the same capacity as Purple mags and is available for light, heavy, snipers and energy weapons.

QUALITY OF LIFE UPDATES

Damage counter

  • We have now added a damage counter to the HUD. It was a very designated feature, so we’ve excited to make it easier for people to pursue the badges and challenges!

Ping ammunition

  • If you throw weapons or ammunition into your inventory, your current ammunition score is displayed along with “player wants ammunition” in a quick chat.

Color blind update

  • Healing and revival now follows color blindness rules when color blindness settings are enabled

Lore fades over Canon Skins

  • Some of our skins are canon, and others are just for fun. For the skins that are an important part of the background story of that character, we added a little blur to describe the meaning of the skin in the Legend’s life.

LEGEND META

Wraith:

Dev Note:

We know that Wraith will always be a popular choice given the amount of combat uses in her kit. After many adjustments to her abilities and animations, the fact remains that her wish rate remains at the very top as it has been since day one. With the adaptation of the season 7 hit box to Pathfinder, we were able to control its power without weakening its kit. We hope to do the same with Wraith.

Wraith now has a slightly larger hit box than her fellow legends, but the changes remain true to her model. As you can see in the pre- and post-comparison, we add a bit of width, mostly in the torso and leg areas:

Even with these changes, Wraith remains small and hard to hit. She will maintain a low profile as we monitor her usage and win rates to see if power can be returned in other ways in the future.

Copy:

  • Sheila angle increases from 120 ° to 180 °
  • Wall health in the construction phase increased from 1 hp to 45 hp (sniper rounds still stick through)

Dev Note:

Rampart has remained at the bottom of our performance benchmarks since its release. Her kit is very built to proactively set a powerful position, but in a game that moves as fast as Apex, we found that her walls also need to have some reactive power. We are watching this one closely.

Horizon:

  • Gravity Lift effective cooling increased from 21 to 25. The cooling-off timer for 15s will now start when the Gravity Lift disappears.

Dev Note:

Horizon has issued strong, to the point where she opposes Wraith in the winning rate and the rate. For the time being, we are monitoring its use and seeing if the cooling changes have a significant effect.

Octane:

Launch Pad Remastered: Many players may have known of Octane’s “super jump” which was possible with a timely jump while hitting the road. After the double jump option was set, there was an input crash that resulted in unreliable use. We decided to add some launch options that are better defined than the old super jump.

  • By hitting the jump block from a standing position, players will be launched along a high arc (the speed and trajectory of the old super jump).
  • From a crouched position, players will jump along a low arc, meaning they will fly lower but further in the horizontal direction.

Crypto:

  • Remove the ability to attach arc stars to friendly drones.

Loba:

  • Loot in unopened care packages is now visible with Eye for Quality and is accessible via the Black Market Boutique.

Byts:

  • All the gas now disappears as soon as Caustic’s team is eliminated.

Mirage:

  • Mirage lures create footsteps noises.

Dev Note:

This change was incorrectly mentioned in the Fight Night notes when it actually came with this patch. Mirage decoys will now have sound of footsteps in a limited capacity. There will not be a footstep tornado if an enemy Mirage lands in the vicinity, but it should be a little harder to pick out the real Mirage alone from sound modes.

  • Players will no longer be kicked out of clubs if they switch to another profile on Xbox.

  • Skydive Trails returns
    • In season 8, Diamond Skydive Trails will make a return as a reward.
