What your Genshin Impact Crush says about you

Anime games are about thirst, and Genshin Impact fans count among the thirstiest. They keep sending the hottest characters of the game to the top Twitter’s trending topics with worrying frequency. Whether you’re one of those thirsty webs, or you’re trying to understand why your friends can not keep quiet about it: I’ve covered you.

Here is a list of the most interesting bachelors and bachelors in the game and my thoughts on why you might experience it.

(There is no cannon for centuries Genshin Impact, so I limited my list to characters who can drink alcohol or make professions.)

Amber

What this loved one is saying about you: you are a loyal person.

You know that Amber is not the most powerful archer or pyro user in the series, but you did not care and maximize her friendship rank anyway. She’s a girl next door you probably know in real life. If the drama in Teyvat gets too much to tackle, she always has your back. And you have hair.

Amber is impulsive and scattered. If she had shoelaces, she would forget to fasten them when she rushed out the door. But she tries to improve herself every day, which makes her an earthly person with whom you can actually identify. You do not need a magical power fantasy in a mate; you just need someone who is faithful to who they are.

Kaeya

What this loved one says about you: you are willing to overlook a lot of scruples if you are nice.

We all knew a Kaeya at a bar. A guy starts laying his ass off about him standing thirty-five in line for the throne of some little principality, and you nod together because it’s nice to be an accomplice to such a strange fame. For a few moments, you even allow yourself to believe his imaginative lie for its sheer romance. This is probably your relationship with Kaeya and his infectious charisma. He clearly cares about his collaborators in the Knights of Favonius, so you do not think he is a bad person. It makes the ocean-wide emotional distance he places between the two of you more bearable. You are probably very good at postponing your own emotional needs so that you can survive and wait until Kaeya finally shares all his secrets with you.

Lisa

What this lover says about you: you want a woman to bully you gently, and you are willing to be about it.

When Lisa threatens to punish someone for not returning a library book, you can’t help but think, “God, I wish it was me.” You loved Lisa for her academic brilliance, but your first impression was always, “this woman could hit me with a flick of her fingers.” Lisa is a lazy magician, but she is very calculating. Being in her presence means that you are explicitly allowed to. The words Lisa speaks and the words she does not speak – you want it all. Like Kaeya, she keeps her friends at a distance. But she offers you just enough tenderness to make the sweet wait worthwhile.

Diluc

What this beloved says about you: You love Diluc because he has a strong sense of his own values.

It’s a wealthy heir who made it all happen, and he chose to be part-time vigilant instead of quietly enjoying his money. Who even does that? That’s right: he’s Batman, down to the half mask, dead parents and the Dark Knight alias. Diluc is Bruce Wayne turned into an anime boy. You’re a sucker for a tragic backstory, and he delivers. Its edgy appeal is also emphasized by the fact that every other adult in Mondstadt is a good knight. Diluc may be a popular character, but you know exactly what you like.

Jean

What this beloved of yours says: You regard service as a language of love.

Someone probably told you that you have a dull taste Genshin crushes. After all, Jean is a straight knight who has no noticeable flaws. She’s the kind of woman who wants people to be a little resentful because her existence is an insult to natural human laziness. But it is the zealous paragons who hold the air high for everyone else. Despite protecting the troublesome city of freedom, she never has a revulsion in her duty. If you take a break or fail a task, it is women like Jean who make sure you have ever had the option in the first place. And if someone accuses her of being a Mary Sue, you can easily point out several jeans in your life. The Dandelion Knight is only ‘unrealistic’ for people who are not empathetic enough to spot those busy bees.

Ningguang

What this lover says of you: you are a lesbian with an impeccable taste.

Ningguang has a slightly detached exterior, but you can not help but admire the determination of a sharp strategist. If other people can be deterred by her eagerness to encourage her good deeds in business discussions, encourage her. Why would Ningguang not succeed if she worked hard for every bit of success she had?

She has a mysterious allure, but her private loneliness is clear to everyone. Her enemies fear her and her subjects mythologized her information network as a means to prosperity. At least three playable characters in Liyue do not like her, and Ningguang makes no effort to dispel their criticism. But isn’t that a little sad? You definitely think so. You just wish more people knew that her ruthless pragmatism does not exclude her kindness.

Beidou

What this loved one is saying about you: you like someone who is fun but not too edgy.

Beidou looks like a pirate, but you would not have fallen for her if she were not legal and friendly. You see a family in a ship captain who are self-sufficient. You have other dreams than your psychological day job, but your bills do not pay themselves. Others may dislike her for collaborating with a ruthless trader like Ningguang. You know better than to judge a woman who compromises to pursue a lifestyle she loves.

Also, “Uncrowed Lord of the Ocean” is a hellish nickname.

Zhongli

What this loved one says about you: you like older guys, and I respect that.

Loving Zhongli also makes you gay. There is a book in the game called Rex Incognito, and it describes a story about Zhongli that appears before people in the form of an amber-eyed woman. He is also almost four thousand years old, too old for this gender nonsense.

There is a lot to like about the Lord of Geo. He has a helpful personality and is deeply informed about the culture of Liyue. But what makes you (okay, and I too) absolutely mad about this dragon head is that he will never break a promise to you. It would be utterly unthinkable for a god who kept an entire nation for almost six thousand years. You have already made the previous mistake of getting into trouble with unreliable guys who cannot hold themselves accountable. These are guys like Zhongli who make you feel like you have the ability to heal.

And can I repeat that he is thousands of years old? This man waged the bloodiest war in recorded history, watching people offend each other for profit and still deciding that people are worth protecting. I cry every time.

Tartaglia

What this pressure is saying about you: you do not have much maintenance for self-preservation.

Tartaglia is not just one of the ruthless Fatui. He is one of their leaders. He likes to destabilize other countries, and you find it … hot?

Okay, I was cynical too. Then I played his boss fight again, and … I understand that. From the art style of Genshin Impact, one would expect a tragic anime boy with a great sob story. Except he’s not. Tartaglia delights in what he can accomplish with his dark powers, and … screams, okay. The way he treats his younger siblings is cute, but you’re looking for an equal. Someone who matches your own boundless energy and drive. You have found that in Tartaglia, which is the only person standing between you and talent upgrade drops in late games. Forget dates by candlelight at Wangming Restaurant. You rather test your strength against it the memory of him Once a week.

Alternatively, you love a man with a full wallet. I can not blame you for that either.

Albedo

What this lover says about you: you dated at least one man who was in super obscure books or movies, and you ended up in all sorts of weird genres by proxy.

And no, Albedo is not the same as the bookworm Xingqiu. The latter will keep his personal hobbies to himself, but Albedo insists on dragging you into mysterious circumstances. It does not really matter if you understand his interests, because he is so convincing about them. He does not cheat like Tartaglia, but your character should probably have a sit-down conversation about everything he hides. Damn, every guy in the Knights of Favonius is super shady, right?

Ganyu

What this loved one is saying about you: you do not care about being the supportive partner in a relationship. Or you could relate to her diaspora struggle.

After all, you have an eye on a three-thousand-year-old woman who manages half the port alone. Jean can probably be your type too, but you prefer the character who openly shows her emotional vulnerabilities. She may be a capable older woman, but her self-esteem issues make you feel protective. Everyone thinks very well of her, so why can she not internalize self-worth? You get it if you’re a kid from two different worlds, because Ganyu’s pain cuts you deep. If people misunderstand Ganyu’s inner conflict, you’re jumping to her defense. While others consider her a helpful secretary, you know that Ganyu deserves to be loved regardless of the output of her labor. Congratulations on having an impeccable taste.

Genshin Impact’s volunteers and bachelorettes are many, and there will be more. Did you focus your attention on someone, or are you waiting for your true love in the Inazuma update?
