Warning: this post contains spoilers for the third installment of WandaVision
Wanda Maximoff’s sitcom-inspired reality sometimes appeared in the first two episodes of WandaVision, but in Episode 3 it finally broke. In the final moments of the final half hour of Marvel’s first Disney + series, Wanda’s friend Geraldine (Teyonah Parris) was forcibly shot from the picturesque Westview enclave. Emphasize by force. The final shot of the episode is Geraldine lying in the grass while a fleet of military trucks pulls towards her and the giant glowing bubble that is large over the landscape. To borrow a famous TV talk, you can say that Geraldine was ‘written off’ WandaVision by none other than its creator – Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) herself.

What next episode starts to show Wanda shoots Monica out of her reality and into the real world, and then the rest of the episode is just from Monica’s perspective on the sword base that WandaVison watches and sends in operators😅 pic.twitter.com/0GpPL1HXAH– lara ★ WANDAVISION SPOILERS (@laraswidow) 22 January 2021
Except that Parris is not going anywhere: despite the fact that she introduced herself to Wanda as Geraldine, the actress is actually playing Monica Rambeau, the adult version of Carol Danvers’ number one fan, who we originally met in the 2019 blockbuster . Captain Marvel. The film took place in the nineties, and to this day Monica is an agent of SWORD, the descendant of Nick Fury’s old outfit, SHIELD As seen in Episode 2, her colleagues – especially the mysterious beekeeper – tried to get their far in Wanda’s fabricated reality, but only Monica managed to get close to her.
Unfortunately she got a little also near, and committed a sin that banished her from “paradise.” That sin? Pronounce the name Ultron in the presence of Wanda. To be honest, Wanda opened the door to that unpleasant memory and dreamily told “Geraldine” how she once had a twin brother, Pietro (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) – the speed eater who was originally in Avengers: Age of Ultron. In the 2015 film, both Maximoff children were the accomplices of the titular despotic robot (voiced by James Spader) before committing themselves to Captain America et al., A decision that led to Pietro’s untimely death.
Wanda never got a real chance to regret his passing, inferred by the events of Infinity War and Endgame. So when Geraldine / Monica softly asks, “He was killed by Ultron, is he not?” she thinks she’s making a connection with the sad super-being. Instead, Wanda’s hair-trigger emotions immediately range from sadness to anger, and Monica is thrown into the real world and puts SWORD back in the first place. “She had to rush home,” is all Wanda says when Vision asks where their new best friend has gone.

–The fact that Wanda just said PIETRO feels so shocking because she’s never even been able to name him since Age of Ultron? I’m so glad she’s finally the center and it’s her time to research her story. That’s all I’ve been waiting for.

While we wait to see the agents of SWORD break back in Westview, we come to celebrate the arrival of Wanda and Vision’s new bundles of joy: Tommy and Billy. While the twins suddenly come in WandaVision, they have a long history in the comics. The brothers, introduced in 1986, were “born” by Wanda’s magical powers, with help from the demonic Mephisto. Three years later, they cut out of existence after the demon regained their life essences.
Flash forward to the mid-2000s, and Tommy and Billy return to Marvel continuity as part of a new generation of heroes, the Young Avengers. These versions were reincarnations of the original duo and grew up separately and eventually discovered their origins as teenagers. With his uncle’s lightning-fast powers, Tommy became Speed, while Billy channeled his mother’s magical abilities as a Wiccan. It’s too early to tell what abilities the twins can show on screen, but we expect that when WandaVision coming in the nineties, it could be titled again: Super Family Affairs.
I would not be surprised if Wiccan and Speed (Billy and Tommy) would come into ordinary reality. MCU develops ‘Young Avengers’ and they play a major role in the Young Avengers comics #WandaVision
