It was a superstar showdown Saturday night at TD Garden.
Stephen Curry and Jayson Tatum both ventured into the Warriors-Celtics clash. Curry scored 47 points, but that was not enough for Golden State to secure a victory over Boston, which won 119-114, thanks in large part to 44 points from Tatum.
The pair of All-Stars shared a moment together after the last buzz sounded. Curry during his availability of media to the bodies sheds light on the exchange while saluting Tatum.
“I just told him he’s very tough, man,” Curry told the Celtics. ‘You can see that the game has slowed down for him, just the way he chooses and chooses his places and how he gets the game right. He shoots the ball much better from the perimeter, but if the game slows down, I do not know if it is four or five years in whatever he is, then you become lethal. With his skill, his size and his system, he is an excellent talent. A highest talent. ”
The victory over the Warriors marked the Celtics’ sixth consecutive victory. Tatum and Co will try to make it seven on Monday night when they host the Chicago Bulls.
