Usually, this is the best way to buy a car that fits in your life, not one that you have to rearrange to be fit. Sometimes, though, things don’t work out that way. Sometimes your love for a car is so deep and so deep that you are willing to inconvenience yourself and sometimes your family and friends to make the relationship work.
I can not say that I personally have an excellent example of this in my fairly short car ownership history, but I will say that the Fiesta ST I currently drive is definitely the closest answer to this question. Yes, it’s a hatchback with four doors, which looks pretty practical at first. At this point, however, I have undertaken enough swirling land trips and wholesale stores know that a car a little also small and hard can be very inconvenient at those important moments when you need it to be anything but. It at least tends to distract me from the assigned driver duties because no one wants to get stuck in the back seat.
The answer I want to have this question, however, is none other than the GR Yaris. I would want nothing more than to have an even smaller, less practical hatchback that ruins my life, for the simple reason that it’s a special magazine for homologation. I will endure all the nonsense if only Toyota would give me the chance.
So, with what absolutely impractical, inhospitable car have you tried to live, and how did you make the flawed relationship work?
