Another Michigan Stock Exchange quarterback entered the transfer portal under Jim Harbaugh.
Joe Milton became sixth when he announced Thursday that he was moving.
The 6-foot-5, 243-pounder started the season as the starter and had a strong performance in the team’s opening competition against Minnesota, but he deteriorated in the next five. In his last four games, the Florida four-star prospect has completed just 33 of 68 passes for 552 yards, three touchdowns and four interceptions.
Milton was drawn against Rutgers on Nov. 21 and then threw three passes on Nov. 28 against Penn State. He finished the season 80-for-141 for 1,077 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions. He also added 109 running yards and a score.
Milton, who is eligible for another three years, joins Dylan McCaffrey, Brandon Peters, Wilton Speight, Alex Malzone and Shane Morris as a quarter of the scholarship to switch under Harbaugh. Speight was a three-star prospect in high school, while the other four were four-star.
Milton’s departure makes way for redshirt sophomore Cade McNamara, who started the team’s final game against PSU, and true freshman JJ McCarthy, a five-star recruiter, to fight for the No. 1 spot.
