What free agencies are available to Packers’ needs?

The Green Bay Packers were quiet during the first week of free agency, due to limited space and the excessive spending that so often had to do with the first few waves.

More than likely, the Packers will eventually get involved and add at least one veteran, helping to provide a short-term solution to a need.

What free agencies are available for the Packers? Here’s a look at the top remaining free agents in the team’s needs positions, starting Sunday morning:

Break down: The Packers did not sign Kevin King again, leaving a starting spot opposite Jaire Alexander on the perimeter. This could be the place where the Packers can drop if the price of the right veteran falls into their comfort zone.

Break down: The Packers retained Dean Lowry, probably due to the lack of depth at this position group in general. Even with Lowry on the rankings, the Packers need help. The depth look gets very shaky after Lowry, Kenny Clark and Kingsley Keke.

Break down: The Packers give back all their receivers from last season and receive Devin Funchess, who has been selected.

Break down: The Packers may like Krys Barnes and Kamal Martin, but a little veteran help makes sense nonetheless. This is a position group that has not played well in Green Bay for many years. The addition of a cheap veteran can provide stability.

Break down: The Packers have a million different combinations with which to make up for the loss of center Corey Linsley, and internal development of young players will play a role in rebuilding depth. It may still help to find one veteran who can play multiple venues.
