The offensive coordinator of Buffalo Bills, Brian Daboll, is already a very good commodity and his team is still playing.
While the Bills (13-3) continue their season in the Wild Card game Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts (11-5), more than half of the NFL will not do the same. Their seasons are over and several of the teams have already made changes.
These moves across the league do have a lot on their toes in western New York. Some think the bills could lose Daboll’s services soon, and no one really wants that, given the steps taken by the bill and quarterback Josh Allen in 2020.
However, Daboll has already had maintenance requests from the Jets and Chargers, so there is a possibility that he will be stripped by another team to be their next head coach.
Daboll started turning more and more every day during his weekly video conference on Monday, even though the rumor mill started turning more and more every day. While grateful, he tried to reassure Buffalo that he was focused on the task.
“I appreciate the question. We have a very important task to do here during a short week. “All I want to do with our staff is focus on the Colts,” said Daboll. “Humiliated about it, but focused on what we need to do here.”
“You have a huge challenge ahead. You have to be better focused, ”Daboll added.
The Bills will certainly not achieve a victory against the Colts, even if they are the favorite near-touch. Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott’s hope, like many, is that Daboll will not be distracted by interviews after the upcoming game. Teams may not talk to Daboll after the Bills-Colts game, but it will still be in his mind.
Of course, McDermott was nothing more than possibly landing a concert for Daboll.
“If you win, people want a piece of winners,” McDermott said earlier this week.
Nice? Can be. Accurate? Well, he does have a point …
