According to an employee, Michaels, the craft store at 808 Columbus Avenue near 99th Street, will close by January 30, if not earlier. It is currently selling, with all 70% off. And we hear the store is filled with bargain hunters.
“If you want to buy something, come on, this is the first time,” the employee said.
If the merchandise runs out, the store may close before January 30th.
Compared to other chain stores, Michaels actually fared relatively well financially during the pandemic – even buying stores from rival AC Moore – but closed some locations.
