Whitmer makes striking remarks about MSNBC in which she claims that residents are not focusing on getting rid of COVID-19.
“You turned on each other and this virus took its toll,” Whitmer said.

Whitmer said she has a smart policy in place, such as the mask mandate, but there is still COVID fatigue. Asked if she has the political ability to act more aggressively, she said: “We do retain powers, but we remain incredibly divided into the politics of this difficult moment.”
