If you could measure thirst, wait for Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 would be an ocean.
It is definitely in a very unique position. As the first Final Fantasy VII Remake bombed in all respects, there would probably not even be a follow-up. But it was good! And it sold! So everyone is anxiously waiting for Part 2 for two reasons, which is definitely happening.
Many of us are curious about how the team can adapt the open world structure; a stark contrast to the more linear, yet personal Midgar environment. But for now, we can only speculate, because Square Enix did not give us a single piece of real information about Part 2. That may change soon.
Tweet the hype for the Final Fantasy VII Remake Orchestra World Tour this week, Square Enix has confirmed that co-director Motomu Toriyama (who worked with Nomura and Hamaguchi on the play) will hold an “extra broadcast” ahead of the event. It’s right before 17:00 JST on February 13, which is 03:00 ET on Saturday morning.
There is actually also a February 12 event, but in the tweet it is noted that it is the event on February 13 that will give us the good.
