Bungie reacted to Destiny 2’s amazing raid error with 12 players and said that players should have their fun while it continues.
Community head Chris ‘Cozmo’ Shannon, who wrote on Bungie.net, said the developer was in no hurry to fix the bug, which the players of Destiny 2 had enjoyed over the past few weeks.
Destiny raids are usually limited to six players – and are indeed designed for six players, although you can play it with fewer guardians.
The YouTuber Scrub video below gives more details on how to activate the bug. This involves the leader of a second six-person fireteam joining your party when you see two seconds on the launch timer. Although the timing is strict, the bug works reliably enough to incite chips in Destiny attacks.
In turn, Bungie seems chilled about what’s happening in the game, saying it does not want to make a solution.
“The big fuss around the community this week was that players found a way to pack four firearms into activities meant for one,” Cozmo said.
“We’ve been watching the 12-player raid hype and are glad you enjoyed it. We’re not trying to make a solution to this and it’s perfectly fine if you want to try it and have fun. we did not create these activities and expect a clown from Guardians to roll up so you can experience a little strangeness. ‘
A solution is planned before Grandmaster Nightfalls begins on March 16, “but you’re free to party until the correction takes effect,” Cozmo added.
This is a welcome approach from Bungie, who could sometimes quickly solve problems with Destiny, even if players had a lot of fun. His approach this time reminds me of the overwhelming, broken Prometheus lens, which I think helped make Destiny 2 fun again at a time when it was struggling.
