During today’s Pokémon Presents presentation, the company unveils new footage for New Pokémon Snap, the long-awaited sequel to the N64 classic. The new footage shows the lush and colorful environments you will be exploring in the Spring Region.
New Pokémon Snap will players take on the role of a pokémon photographer who will work with the region’s pokémon expert, Professor Mirror, and his assistant Rita to observe pokémon in their natural habitats. Game remains similar to its predecessor, but introduces some new mechanics, such as a photo-sharing feature that lets you share photos online, plus a ranking system so you can compete with other players around the world.
The new footage is just one of the many announcements on offer. The Pokémon Company also announced that they are working on some projects that focus on the fourth generation of Pokémon titles, it includes remakes for the original DS titles and Pokémon Legends: Arceus: an open-world RPG set in the Sinnoh region that takes place long before the others Pokémon titles.
New Pokémon Snap appears on April 30 exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
