The most powerful C8 Corvette on earth is now also the fastest C8 in the quarter mile.
YouTuber Emila Hartford, who pushed her heavily modified 2020 mid-engine Corvette to 1022 horsepower on a dyno earlier this year, broke the record for the fastest C8 on the towpath. During a private test event this month, she was able to land a 9,418 second time with a fall speed of 144.84 mph on the Famoso Dragstrip in Southern California.

From most angles, the C8 in question looks pretty standard, except for a set of bead-locked Forgeline wheels wrapped in Micky Thompson tow radii. From behind, however, it appears how much work has been done on this car. The engine is still the original LT2, which is equipped with a bunch of fast interiors and mods from Texas Speed to handle the boost of the two Precision turbochargers hanging at the rear. There are clutches from Cicio Performance to handle the extra torque, and KW suspension components to keep everything in line during hard launches.

It is now the fastest C8 on the planet.
We are excited to see how much further Hartford and her team can push the C8 platform. We can not imagine that the 8s are too far.
