OnePlus is not exactly known for keeping it a secret – the company has been teasing the launch of its new OnePlus 9 series smartphones in recent weeks, and a large number of related leaks means that at this stage there is still little to the imagination remained. (Hello, OnePlus Watch!) I can think of one way to have some fun with the company’s latest launch event: by watching it unfold with me and Cherlynn Low, editor of Engadget reviews.
The main event starts at 10:00 in the Eastern / 07:00 in the Pacific, but as usual we start our live coverage at 09:40 East / 06: 40 Pacific. And the game plan? Well, we will do our best to keep quiet during the meat of the show – unless it’s full of Gen-Z snake like the previous event we streamed – but expect lots of context, deep discussions and shop talks before and after. And best of all: Cherlynn and I would not be nearly as deceitful or hungry as we would be if we treated this event personally, but that does not mean we will not be deceitful or hungry at all. It’s just our atmosphere, you know?
