Russian President Vladimir Putin speaks on Davos Agenda, a virtual event hosted by the World Economic Forum.

It comes amid screams from the international community over the arrest of opposition leader Alexei Navalny. Demonstrations took place across Russia on Saturday, mainly in support of Navalny, a prominent anti-corruption campaigner and critic of Putin.

Navalny was detained on January 17 immediately after his return from Germany from Russia, where he was treated last August for nerve agent poisoning. Putin is accused of being behind the poisoning; the Kremlin denies any involvement.
