WATCH Machine gun Kelly and Pete Davidson fall from SNL stage

Maybe you missed it, or turned off your TV after the last sketch, but last night’s Saturday Night Live had the kind of accident you usually see in football matches or America’s Funniest Home Videos rebroadcasts. The scene was perfectly covered. The Studio 8H band plays her “it’s the end of the show, good night people!” sleepy jazz. Everyone was holding their hugs and cuddles as the credits began to turn. Aidy Bryant was off to the side, dressed as a giant cockroach for reasons that made sense in a 10-to-1 sketch about Ratatouille. And when Pete Davidson went to pick up a hug with the musical gas machine Gun Kelly, Kelly pulled Pete to his knees and both tumbled backwards from the stage. Machine Gun Kelly is six-four, so it’s a pretty big fall. Just look at the expression Bowen Yang makes as he watches it go down. Look at his hands. Host John Krasinski jumps off the camera to help up the sweet doves. But did they learn their lesson? Of course not. While the credits continued and Pete and Kelly were safely back on the boards, Pete chose Kelly and threw him over his own shoulder like a sack. Never let anyone tell you that sketching comedy is not a contact sport.
