Washington Capitals-Philadelphia Flyers postponed due to COVID-19

Tuesday’s Washington Capitals-Philadelphia Flyers game has been postponed due to COVID-19 issues on the Flyers, a source told ESPN.

The Flyers are now the fifth NHL team to be interrupted. The Buffalo Sabers, Colorado Avalanche, Minnesota Wild and New Jersey Devils’ games have all been postponed this week thanks to groups of COVID-19 cases.

Last week, the NHL improved its safety protocols in the arena, including enforcing social distance in locker rooms and removing glass behind benches for increased air circulation. The NHL also tried to offer players less than an hour and 45 minutes before a game on the field, although the league softened its stance on it due to the significant setback of the players.

The NHL tested players and staff members daily with PCR tests, but it tested faster at arenas, especially on game days.
