The Washington football team gave Right Guard Brandon Scherff the franchise label for the 2nd consecutive year. That gives him a $ 18.04 million contract for the 2021 season. The team still has time to make a long-term deal, something they have not been able to do for the past three years.
WFT now has two options: let Scherff play on the label in 2021 for 120 percent of last season’s salary ($ 18.04 million) or work out a long-term deal by July 15.
If he plays on the label, he is the 4th highest paid OL in the NFL. If there is a new deal, Wash can lower the bonus and incentives for the coat hanger. https://t.co/F7wRtq6KMI
