Significant nerves hit Warzone’s most overwhelming weapons:

  • Mac-10: Reduce multiplier by headshot
  • Double pistol: Increased hip fire spread, reduced extent of damage

Raven Software tweeted to say that a balance update will be coming soon to address concerns about DMR 14, Type 63, Mac 10 and dual pistols.

These changes are exclusive to Warzone, Raven explained. The point is important because the weapons in question come from Treyarch’s Black Ops Cold War, and were recorded in Warzone last month.

The DMR in particular was singled out as problematic. Last week, Eurogamer reported on how some people in the Call of Duty community feel that the DMR makes Warzone ‘unplayable’.

The DMR is a semi-automatic tactical rifle with an increased firing speed and a minimum recoil. It is devastating due to long rage and keeps reliable damage to the enemies in the blink of an eye.

The DMR is so powerful that it can wipe out a group within seconds, but only a few well-placed bursts that inflict the kind of damage other weapons need to sustain. The DMR also performs on the kind of range you want for commitments in Warzone – far enough away to pick enemies without them having time to react.
